The name
Half human. Half something more powerful.
In 1998, Garry Kasparov introduced “advanced chess”: a human and a computer playing as one team. These teams became known as centaurs, and they went on to beat both strong humans and strong engines playing alone.
That is how we build software. AI brings the speed. Engineers bring the judgment. Every release needs both. The name comes from kentauros, the original Greek word for centaur. We kept the K.
